Case Study: Sous Vide Tools

by Jeremy Pang

We started our conversations with Sous Vide Tools a while back, but with the numerous waves of the pandemic and the Brexit impact on businesses all over the country, things took a while to get going. Just recently, we managed to do our first job with Sous Vide Tools, and what a cool job it was too. Us humans have been saying for decades now that eventually, machines will take over the world, and we’ll all be twiddling our thumbs wondering what to do, what to say or what to type. But that’s just not the case really, is it? No matter whether a machine like a Sous Vide Tool machine cooks certain things perfectly or not, it takes putting said machine into the right, specialist hands to really perfect a finished dish in a professional kitchen.

This particular job was filmed at The Social Company (Jason Atherton’s Restaurant Group: Social Eating House, Little Social) and bars (The Blind Pig) and had our camera crew poised and ready with their very own machines: flicking from filter to filter and twitching their lenses from one focus to another between perfectly poured cocktails and the chefs dancing around their Sous Vide Tools machinery finishing their plates off with a sizzle or stir.

This was a collaborative marketing affair in all senses, where our specialist food clients Sous Vide Tools, wanted to show off their products in a professional environment being used by the best. The chefs, and mixologists were in the spotlight, on camera, providing simple, natural bits of marketing content for a brand of products that they use on a daily basis. Whilst our production crew were there to draw the best out of each contributor and had a limited time to get all the shots done before their actual restaurant customers walked in for the restaurants’ ‘real service’. Sometimes, it’s easy to forget, when watching a quick video that good quality content production is such a seriously operational team effort. But hey, it’s our job to make it look easy. And what an enjoyable job it can be, when you have brilliant clients that feed you a posh meal when all the hard work is done!

Check out our crew Arthur and Lee as they shake their heads in despair as to how melt in the mouth the sous vide meat is when cooked by the pros. So delicious in fact, that they both went back home and bought a sous vide machine for home use just to recreate the dish!
